On October 8–9, 2026, the Social Applied Research and Social Work Laboratory (SoRSoW) at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) organized two focus groups as part of an international research collaboration with Springfield College, USA.

Conducted during Dr. Christine Tronnier’s sabbatical and within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HMU and Springfield College, the study, co-led by Dr. Kleio Koutra, explores perspectives on death, dying, grief, and bereavement in social work education and practice.
